Compressor is shorted to ground, causing the breaker to trip instantly. Customer mentioned someone sold that unit to her for cheap used. Asked if we could just change out the outdoor unit but didn’t recommend it due to oil stains on the copper in the evaporator coil. Recommended replacing the entire system. Will need Toby to give an estimate.
Replaced trane thermostat with a new one
4 TON TRANE SPLIT GAS SYSTEM WITH T705 THERMOSTAT
Dirt & mold was on the ceiling from the last time we came out to clean the ducts. Mentioned to Mike that it didn’t appear to be continuing from the ducts, it was what was already there to begin with & ceilings would need to be either cleaned or replaced. No other issues to report .
TRANE 3 TON SPLIT GAS SYSTEM Installed new equipment and adjusted tap setting to #4 and cooling properly, cooling maintenance on 3 units and 2 condensers on the same side(carrier and rheem) outdoor coils are rotting because of sprinklers and have leaks. Both 410 units indoor units are functional and coils aren’t that dirty inside trane unit on north side cap is 7.5 and was reading 5.8 recommend to replace fan cap Also insulated carrier suction line, suction line had no insulation and was vibrating on a drain line sticking out the wall and kept homeowners awake at night
Single capacitor going to the compressor was reading 7.3 & rated 80. Wasn’t allowing the compressor to come on. Changed it out & unit began running again. Checked pressures & everything looked good to go. No other issues to report.
Dual Capacitor on the condenser was showing good but compressor wasn’t running. Changed it out & the compressor began running again. Pressures were higher than normal due to the temperature inside the building. (99) on the thermostat. Let it run for about 20 mins & the pressures slowly started coming down. Thermostat dropped 3 degrees as well. No other issues to report.
Opened unit up and inspected the unit. Didn’t see any unusual signs. Also didn’t smell anything inside the unit. Turned it on and went room to room smelling the air coming out the vents and also didn’t smell anything.
Cleared drain and poured at least a gallon of water to make sure it was clear. Other than that good to go
Drain line was stopped up, cleared it with nitrogen. Drain line is draining properly now. Checked pressures because customer mentioned it didn’t cool as well. Pressures looked a little weird, suction pressure was higher than normal & high pressure was lower than normal. Mentioned there could be a restriction in the refrigerant cycle but he said he was ok on estimates. No other issues to report.
Need to reschedule, unable to start tune ups due to install.
Couldn’t find the leak. Customer wants quote for a new unit
Gave estimate for repair and will wait for approval
PVC line going to the plumbing vent was completely detached. Also removed an incorrect & unnecessary p trap & put (2) pvc 90s to allow the drain to run downstream all the way to the plumbing vent. No other issues to report.
Evaporator coil has a leak, not allowing unit to cool properly after adding 3 lbs of 410A a little over a month ago. Toby will get with Jackie to see what he would like to do in order to correct the issues whether it be changing the coil or replacing the system due to age (14years). No other issues to report.
New system was installed, everything is functioning properly.

Heat strips were coming on with a/c. One sequencer was stuck so I got it replaced and now everything is all good to go
Drain line was really clogged. Took almost a quarter of a tank of nitrogen. Got it cleared and customer is good to go
Straps holing the plenum up came off and caused the coil to the furnace to come undone. Got it propped up to allow the water to drain properly. Need to come back to strap it up properly
Swapped out condenser fan motor and got unit cooling. Everything else checked out good
Capacitor was bad on the fan side reading 39/1 Replaced it with new one and unit is now cooling.
Ductwork not attached. Need to make quote to fix
Drain line was clogged pressurized with the nitrogen. Got it all cleared and supply vents are supplying 53 degrees inside
